Critters make a stop at the nursing home

Residents at an Albany nursing home received some furry visitors Thursday.

A ferret was just one of the special guests at Palmyra Nursing Home.

The folks there celebrated national nursing home week with a visit from Chehaw's Wild Animal Park.

They got an up close look at other animals too, including Ratatouille the rat, an alligator, and a possum.

Chehaw's Wild Animal Park has more than 200 different species of animals.

The visit was part of "Old fashioned Day" at the nursing home.

They'll wrap up their week of special events with a luau Friday.
