An overturned log truck blocked Lumpkin Road East in the 300 block.
School traffic was warned not to use the road Thursday by Sheriff Reggie Rachals, by using social media.
Sheriff's deputies say the driver, 48-year-old Robin John, of Cadwell, GA was going too fast for conditions and overturned in the curve. She was shaken, but is in good condition.
The truck blocked the roadway making it impassable and there are logs scattered and in the ditch. Crews expect to take several hours to clean it up.
John was also cited for defective equipment, with tire problems. The road was cleared for traffic between 5 and 6 PM.
