ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Dougherty County School Board voted tonight to get rid of two high ranking school employees, but the decision may not hold up.

The board voted 3 to 2 to terminate Human Resources Director Tracy Williams and not to renew the contract of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Diane Daniels.

Board members Velvet Riggins and Dr. Anita Brown were not at the meeting.

They normally vote with the members who opposed the firing.

The board could revisit and reverse the decision within 30 days.
