Four businesses were recognized for their impact on Albany and Dougherty County.
MCLB, Miller Coors, Lawson Industries, and Pfizer INC were the big winners at the Economic Development Commission's annual Industry Awards winners breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown.
MCLB won for economic impact, and Lawson Industries took the top prize for excellence in innovation.
Miller Coors came out on top for community citizenship, and Pfizer won for global commerce.
"As with every other individual, on earth recognition is important. Recognition shows appreciation and that's what we're here to do for local businesses," said Chamber CEO Catherine Glover.
According to Albany Dougherty EDC, 80 percent of new jobs come from businesses already in town.
