LEESBURG, GA (WALB) – Lee County commissioners gave the final go ahead tonight for a senior citizen apartment development.
Peachtree Housing Developers told the board they plan to close on the financing next week and break ground on Forrester Senior Village next month.
The 50 unit complex will provide affordable housing for people 55 and older on a 14-acre site on Forrester Parkway.
"We're excited about it, our investors our are excited, and the folks at the state are excited about bringing this to Lee County," said Josh Thomason, Peachtree Housing
The development will take about 12 months to complete.
