Former LPGA tour player Nanci Bowen was back home in Tifton for her 11th annual charity golf tournament held Monday at the Spring Hill Country Club.
The event benefits patients of the Tift Regional Medical Center Oncology Center and Hospice of Tift Area with special needs. Bowen won 4 majors over her 16 year career and says it's always special to come back home for this very important cause.
Bowen said "Everybody seems to be having a good time, it's just after Mother's Day so a lot of people are out and about. I'm able to give back to the community, Louise Woodam and her staff has done a wonderful job getting donations and going out to the community. Everybody is supporting it so I'm real proud of that."
