Has there ever been a teacher you wanted to thank for inspiring you? An Albany college did just that. On Thursday, Albany Tech honored their teaching staff by treating them to lunch.

A special Teachers Appreciation Luncheon was held at Albany Tech's Kirkland Conference Center. Retired faculty members came back to the college to receive recognition in a presentation put on by the school called "Great Teachers. Great Moments."

Vice President for Academic Affairs Shirley Armstrong said, "We were fortunate to have some of our retired teachers return and we're wanting all of our retired teachers to come back to all of our activities we have at Albany Technical College, we are recognizing the 50th celebration this year and they have made it possible."

Albany Tech had been waiting for the right moment to honor their teachers and the 50th anniversary made the luncheon all the more timely.

The Luncheon which lasted from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday honored Albany Tech's current teaching staff as well.
