Marine Corps Logistics Command headquarters is holding the 4th annual 'Safety Stand-down' Thursday at Covella Pond, on base.

The safety program, called the "101 Days of Critical Summer," marks the start of the busy summer schedule with recreational travel, water activities and home projects.

The Corps is offering awareness training and other information that demonstrates safe practices to the Marine Corps community.

Focus will be on motorcycle safety, private motor vehicle safety, recreational vehicle safety, boats and watercraft safety, lawn and garden tips, heat injury protection for people and animals, and general around the house safety tips that will reduce or minimize injuries and/or fatalities.
