BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) – A Bainbridge man arrested two and a half years after he raped a woman is going to prison.
A judge sentenced Charlie Venisee to 20-years in prison. He must serve at least ten.
Investigators say he robbed then raped a woman at knife point in October 2007.
He almost got away with it.
But last February, after he was arrested on unrelated charges, investigators found his DNA matched the rapist.
Venisee pleaded guilty.
