ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The State Labor Department launched a month-long effort called ResuMay. The Albany Career Center lined up employers and experts to review resumes and give tips at an event called ResuMay Fest this Friday.
The Center manager says your resume can be the thing that gets you a job interview or keeps you from getting one. Betty White said, "A resume talks about you. It gives that employer some information about you before he calls you in for an interview, so it's a piece of paper that really speaks for you when you are wanting to get interviewed."
ResuMay Fest runs from 10 to 2 Friday at the Labor Department Career Center on South Slappey. There will be food, drinks, and door prizes. The Center offers other resume help the first Wednesday of each month.
