The Albany Rescue Mission's thrift store is asking for help with repairs.

This is what they call the Thrift Store barn where they store donated furniture for sale.

Looking up at the roof, it's easy to see the problem.  It leaks badly.

Every time it rains, many of the donated items get soaked and ruined.

They're asking for volunteers and donations to help to fix that roof.  Albany Rescue Mission Thrift Store manager Gary Summerlin said  "We need this roof fixed really, really bad. The more that it leaks the more furniture it messes up. And we are just not getting anywhere with it."

The Thrift Store is the second biggest fund raiser for the Albany Rescue Mission, which provides 7000 meals a month for the homeless.

If you would like to help the Rescue Mission with their roof problems, call their ministry office at 435-7615.
