Former Monroe high and Fort Valley State wide receiver Ricardo Lockette had hoped to hear his name called in the late rounds of last week's NFL draft, the call never came but Lockette is still in good spirits.
Lockette says he has been contacted by at least 10 NFL teams that have interest in him as a free agent but negotiations are limited because of the current NFL lockout. Until then he plans on continuing to stay in shape and keep his body fresh for the next level
Lockette said "I wish it would of turned out a little different but towards the end we got a lot of good news so I'm looking forward to the lockout being done and getting a deal done. Depending on that depends on when I start my negotiation for a contract and which city I'm going to be living in but I hope they hurry up and get it done.I'm kind of anxious now to see where I'm going to be."
Lockette says he'll continue to workout until the lockout is lifted
