Open Arms a non-profit group celebrated the last day of National Child Abuse Prevention Month today.

The program was held at the Mount Zion Baptist Church located at 1905 Martin Luther King Junior Drive.

They celebrated through music, poetry and a Play written by a member of Mount Zion.

Betty Vaughn Sweat's inspiration to write the play came from real life women who suffered from abuse.

The goal is to let people know life continues after abuse.  If you know anyone suffering from child abuse call Open Arms at (229) 431-1121
