For years, the area right across the street from the RiverQuarium has been rundown, but that's changing.

Imagine everything you own is stolen, then you find out, someone decorated their house with your stuff. It's what happened to a Ben Hill County woman. Thieves broke into her storage unit and stole everything she owned, from her furniture to her perfume.

All of Telisha McCray's personal belongings were kept at a Ben Hill County Storage Facility. What she thought was a safe spot to store her items turned out to be just the opposite.

She said someone had destroyed the lock on her unit and just two weeks after she moved her stuff in, all $20,000 worth of her belongings had been moved out."They took everything from the dining room, all the way down to lingerie," she said.

Thieves took big money items down to the smaller things. "Furniture, throw pillows, clothing, perfume, body lotion..you name it..it was gone," said Investigator Patrick Hogan.

For almost six months investigators followed leads but they never panned out until this week.

The majority of her items were discovered in the apartments of two local women."They had their apartments furnished with Ms. McCray's property," said Investigator Patrick Hogan.

Investigator Hogan says it's unusual to find so many items in one place. McCray even found some of her lotions and perfumes.

McCray says she's thrilled to have most of her belongings back.

24 year old Stephanie Shelton was arrested and charged with Theft by receiving stolen property, a felony.

McCray says some of her stuff is back at the storage facility but as soon as she can she plans on moving it to another facility with more security.

More arrests are expected.
