ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany's Bread House and Granary received one of 13 inaugural Food and Beverage Product Innovation Awards from the National Restaurant Association. It won for its Going Chia Fiber Energy Bars.
They're made with freshly-milled Montana hard red whole wheat infused with ancient and powerful chia seeds. Judges said the bars are a tasty, nutritious, and on-trend meal replacement or snack.
The Bread House was up against some huge national companies. Other winners included Con Agra and Heinz.
Profits from the bakery on Dawson Road support Graceway... A drug recovery program for women.
