Southside loses power

Power was knocked out for many Albany Water Gas and Light Customers in South Albany Friday afternoon.

A tree limb fell on Power lines near the 500 Block of Holloway avenue. It is not particularly windy this afternoon, but the limb from the old tree fell anyway.

Power is out in that nearby area, including parts of Newton Road. Albany Water Gas and Light Utility crews are working to restore power now.

Remember, when you encounter a traffic light with no power, all drivers treat it as a four way stop.
