TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Tift County center Breon Dixon has been dominating the lanes in south Georgia high school gyms for the last four years.
Dixon will changing positions next season at Troy University.
The Blue Devils post player was one of three Tift County players signing college scholarships Wednesday afternoon.
The 6'7" Dixon was an all-state and GACA all-star selection this year.
He averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocked shots a game.
Tift County won the region 1-AAAAA title and made the AAAAA final four.
Dixon says the Troy coaches want him to play on the wing in their fast tempo attack.
It is a transition he believes will not be that difficult for him.
Breon Dixon said. "I have always been comfortable facing the basket. I don't think it will be a tough adjustment."
Two of Dixon's teammates also signed scholarships.
Tift County guard Tae Jolly signed with Valdosta State.
Demetrius McCray is headed to Middle Georgia College.
Jolly averaged 10 points a game and McCray seven points for the Blue Devils.
