THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Charlie Freeman, Jr, Isaac Burdon, and Gregory Wolf are charged in the armed robbery of T & J's Country Store in Ochlocknee. The crime occurred around 9:30 PM on April 10th of last year.
The case was cold until about two months ago. "It came in in the form of a tip through another officer. It was a key piece of information that kind of put the pieces together," said Thomas County PIO Steve Jones.
Police say these men walked into T & J's armed, demanding money. They made the clerks lay on the floor while they went behind the register.
They took a box containing cash and left. "Currently the three of them are charged with armed robbery and more charges are pending based on the District Attorney and what they feel is appropriate when it comes to grand jury time," said Jones.
As investigators pieced things together, they began arresting these men one at a time. Captain Steve Jones says this is not their first arrest. "All three are on bond right now from other counties for burglaries."
Investigators believe there is another suspect at large. "It'll be real interesting if we're able to put the fourth suspect together with them and release that to you."
Jones says one of the men was carrying a semi automatic pistol and the other two had revolvers. He says it's always a good feeling to solve a case that at one point felt like a lost cause.
Those three suspects remain in jail. We'll keep on top of the search for the fourth suspect and keep you up to date.
