Relatives of a toddler who was beaten to death last month came forward to support the child's day care center director, who is accused of failing to report the abuse.

49-year-old Glenda Brown was arrested at Springs Little Citizens Learning Academy Tuesday afternoon.

Prosecutors say Brown knew that 19-month-old Janaysia Stevenson showed signs of abuse and did not report it. The child's grandfather told us he doesn't believe that's true.

"She always loved kids. And there was nothing that she didn't do for Janaysia,"said her Grandfather William Hunt.

The Day Care center owner, Dr. B. W. Caldwell, paid Brown's one thousand dollar bail to get her out of jail. The center was open today, but Brown was not there.
