ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Shorts weather is quickly approaching. A new vein procedure may help you be ready to show off your legs.
The Veinwave has been used in Europe for years but was just recently approved by the FDA here in the United States. It uses a small needle and heat to get rid of small spider veins. While most people think of Varicose Veins on the legs, Dr. Price Corr says this procedure even works well for small lines on the face.
"People don't think of varicose veins on the face they think of varicose veins on the legs, but you can get this little tiny spider veins on the nose and under the eyes, Veinwave works beautifully for that," said Dr. Price Corr, The Vein Clinic.
The needle feels just like a pin prick. Most sessions are done in 15-minute increments. Sometimes a repeat session is needed to touch up missed veins. Patients are advised to treat the area like a sunburn.
