ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police are investigating an aggravated assault case in the 700 block of West Broad Avenue. APD officers responded to a dilapidated home that was in the process of being torn down, where a woman was found severely beaten this morning.
Police say she was found alive but unresponsive and was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Officers responded to the scene after someone passing through the area spotted a white female that had been severely beaten.
When officers made contact with the victim she was unresponsive and sitting by an abandoned building.
The victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
This case remains under investigation. Updates will be provided when additional information becomes available.
