LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) -  Teachers in Lowndes County shared technology skills and knowledge with each other during an in-service day Tuesday.

They showcased technology such as I-pads that they use in the classroom.

Hundreds of teachers chose from 40 different sessions at the Lowndes County Tech Expo.

The Instructional Technology specialist says they like to send teachers to technology classes but in this economy they aren't able to do it.

"We decided since we can't send teachers to conferences anymore why not showcase what teachers are doing right here in Lowndes County," said Rhonda Browning, the Lowndes County Instructional Technology Specialist. "We have some fascinating and wonderful things going on right here.

It's the first time all Lowndes County teachers met on one campus for professional learning.
