Darton leads at Thomas Invitational

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Darton College sits in first place by one shot after round one of the Thomas Invitational.

The Cavaliers shot a 301 and lead Southeastern, Northwood and Webber by one shot.

Host Thomas University is in 6th place after a 313 on a windy day at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

Taylor Wellborn and Shad Tuten led the Cavs.

Both players shot 72 and both are also tied for the individual lead.

The second and final round is tuesday morning at Kinderlou Forest.
