AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - South Georgia Tech guard Ophelia McMath has been named the Player of the Year in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association.
The Apopka Florida native is averaging over 20 points a game this season for the Lady Jets.
Darton's Dorine Minala and Albany Tech's Ann Wilcher were named second team all region. South Georgia Tech is 26-3 and hosts Atlanta Metro in the first round of the state tournament on Wednesday.
Darton will host Andrew at six on Wednesday and Albany Tech is at home against Middle Georgia at five on Wednesday.
The semifinals and finals are at Darton College Friday and Saturday.
