ALBANY,  GA (WALB) -  The Albany Chamber of commerce presented the STAR or Student Teacher Achievement Recognition awards.

STAR students have the highest SAT scores in their schools, but their grades must also must be in the top ten percent of their class.

Each STAR student picks a STAR teacher. "The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is always looking to honor our future leaders. These students today have worked really hard," said Albany Area Chamber of Commerce President Catherine Glover.

Tuesday morning on Today in Georgia, you can meet one of the star students who scored a 2190 out of 2400 on his SAT.
