VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The LPGA tour is opening their 2011 season in Thailand this weekend.
Back in Valdosta, one their newest tour members is waiting for her LPGA debut.Carter said. "Part of me was a little nervous know that I have done it. Oh my gosh! I have got my card. Oh my gosh! I have got my card. I really have to work hard and get ready. This is what I have wanted. I have been given the opportunity to go play. What more can I ask for?.Dori Carter did score a win last year on a futures tour.
Dori Carter earned her LPGA tour card last fall and will make her debut in Phoenix in the third week of March.
Carter was a two time All-SEC player at Ole Miss and qualified for the U-S Women's Open when she as 18.
Since her college career ended, Dori has been working on her on the mini tours and is excited and nervous that she has finally achieved her goal of making the LPGA tour.
