ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A young man from South Georgia got a front seat view of legislators in action this week.
Mark Pickett is an 8th grader at Merry Acres Middle School. Earlier this week, he participated as a Page in the Georgia House, bringing messages to and from Representative Winfred Dukes.
Pickett said, "My uncle got me interested in politics cause he was the Chief Page at South Carolina and my mom was a Page when she was in college, I think. I've always been interested, after they told me stories and when we went to D.C."
Pickett says he hopes to be more involved in politics as he gets older.
