CORDELE, GA (WALB) - There is no place like home for Crisp County head football coach Sean Pender.Sean Pender has turned in his resignation.
That is why Pender is leaving the Cougars after one season.
He told WALB News 10 Sports Tuesday afternoon he is leaving the Cougars to become head coach at Pierce County High in Blackshear.
Pender says his family has lived in Pierce County for over a decade while he was an assistant at Ware County and head coach at Brantley County.
Pender left Brantley County last year to become head coach at Crisp County.
He was 4-7 in his one season leading the Cougars to the first round of the AAA state playoffs where they lost by a point at Burke County.
