ALBANY, GA (WALB) - One of several outstanding students at Albany Tech will have a chance to represent the whole technical college system.

Albany Tech held it's GOAL Ceremony Monday. Goal stands for Georgia Occupational Award of leadership.

The GOAL program recognizes technical college students for outstanding performance and personal achievement.

We spoke to one finalist who's in the environmental horticulture program. The Chamber of Commerce will pick one local winner from the four finalists.

That student will compete against winners from all the other technical colleges. The statewide winner will become the spokesperson for Georgia Technical education.
