ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Governor Nathan Deal has issued an executive order to remove indicted Broxton Mayor Bobby Reynolds from office immediately.

In January, the Governor appointed a commission to determine whether the indictment impacts Reynolds service as mayor.

The Commission unanimously recommended that Reynolds be suspended until the final outcome of the case or until his term in office expires.

In December, Mayor Reynolds was indicted for violating his oath of office, Malfeasance and failure to take a proper oath.

Prosecutors say he failed to supervise his daughter properly.

Tracy Lott is a former city clerk.

She was also indicted after an audit showed hundreds of thousands of dollars in city money was missing.
