VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Eight people in Valdosta are searching for new places to live after a fire at a boarding house.

The home on East Magnolia caught fire around 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Investigators believe the fire was electrical and started in the living room. Wanda Wright told us her aunt lived there.

"I went to the laundry mat and I happened to look over there," said Wanda Wright. "I said that look like my auntie's house over there on fire and I seen it coming up from the chimney and I ran over and I said 'hey, hey what's going on?' She was already out the door."

Valdosta firefighters are also investigating a Friday night fire at 2008 LaSalle Drive. They believe it was intentionally set. They found the fire was started in two areas of the home the kitchen and master bedroom.
