ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  An Marine is back home after spending eight months in Afghanistan.

Lieutenant Colonel Donald Gray Jr. arrived at MCLB Wednesday evening.

His family, the LOGCOM Commanding General, and his staff welcomed Gray home. Gray was a commander in charge of combat replacements at camp Leatherneck.

He enjoyed his work but missed his family.

"I just want to spend some quality time with my family, these angels, for the years they've put up with the back and forth, and I want to take a bath," said Lt. Col. Donald Gray Jr. US Marines.

This was Gray's first deployment to Afghanistan.
