ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Hooters restaurant moved out Wednesday, but there's a possibility that another Hooters franchise could move in.
Wednesday, the restaurant's management group out of Claremont, North Carolina was cleaning equipment and packing it up to go back to North Carolina. Property owner Joe Watkins says he received more than $28,201.82 in back rent and current rent. The group also paid back taxes owed to the city.
Watkins says he's been in contact with Hooters' Corporate office which would like to see another franchise move into the Albany location. If that doesn't happen, Watkins says he'll look for a new tenant.
