ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A high-end consignment store is soon to open in downtown Albany.  The old Churchwell's building on Washington Street will soon house Verge.

The owners plan to offer like-new, name brand items for men, women, and children.   Both owners are invested in multiple ways.

Jessica Blair's husband is the new downtown manager.  Sarah Edmonds is a partner at café 230.    Both want to see their store, and all of downtown succeed.

Jessica Blair said, "We were actually really surprised that you have such a good downtown.  There's good bones here, good structure.  It's just that when we came here there was not a whole lot going on and what we hope to do together is to revitalize that."

Sarah Edmonds said, "Well, I'm really excited because BJ and I have café 230 downtown already, we brought a lot of foot traffic in, so we're expecting for that to happen here at Verge."

Verge is expected to open March first.   Right now, you can bring your gently-used name brand items for consignment.  To set up an appointment, call 438-2121.
