ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Convention and Visitors Bureau tried to direct today's large civic center crowd to downtown businesses.

A flyer was handed out to everyone who attended Tuesday's Bee meeting.

It features five downtown restaurants as options for lunch and includes phone numbers and even directions to the businesses. Businesses like Subway, say they appreciate the CVB trying to send business their way.

"They will see me one time and they will know I'm here and then the next time they're downtown they may come without an event being here. It's like, you know the Subway is downtown and that's how it works for me," said Delyn Smith, Downtown Subway Owner.

Restaurant owners hope the flyer will appear at future events in downtown.
