HUNTSVILLE, AL (WALB) -  The final score sometimes is not an indicator of how the game went.

Valdosta State's 82-64 loss at 5th ranked UAH is one of those scores.

The Blazers were down 59-58 when the Chargers put the game away on free throws from intentional fouls and a double technical against VSU's Tristan Steele.

Billy McShephard led VSU (17-8, 4-4) with 15 points.

Josh Magette led the Chargers with 22 points.

The Lady Blazers also fell to .500 in the GSC after a 69-65 loss to the UAH women.

Brittany Daniels led VSU with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Amanda Haven also scored 19 for the Lady Blazers.

VSU basketball teams host Lambuth starting with the women's game at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the VSU Complex.
