ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Dougherty County Commissioners fill a vacant development authority seat with a familiar face.

Bobby McKinney recently finished his term on the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development commission, but his years of experience working with bringing jobs into the area won't be lost.

He's now been named to the Dougherty County Development Authority.

County Commissioner Ewell Lyle says he didn't want to lose McKinney's expertise. "I don't think there's probably anybody in the city or county that has as much experience with economic development as he does, especially after talking to him and I knew he was not on the Economic Development Commission any longer and I thought this was an opportunity to keep him involved in that."

McKinney will fill a vacancy left open when board member Rusty Arnold moved. The term runs through the end of this year.
