ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An audiotape confession of a man arrested for trying to lure children into his van will be allowed in court.

Kenneth Kellam's lawyer asked Judge Stephen Goss to keep out the taped interview in which Kellam told investigators he planned to assault two young boys.

The judge listened to that tape and testimony and decided it is admissible.

Kellam was arrested near Northside Elementary School in 2009 after approaching two brothers.

Police say he had a mattress in his van with handcuffs attached to a chain bolted to the floor and a book explaining how to win the trust of children.
