ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police say they broke up a burglary ring that stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of property from Northwest Albany homes.
Investigators suspect 22-year old Keon Rivers and 20-year old Justin Hendricks broke into more than 15 homes in recent weeks targeting flat screen televisions, game systems, and high-end tennis shoes.
Earlier this week they were spotted burglarizing a home on Forest Glen Drive. Thursday neighbors saw them again and police captured them.
Police say the suspects led them to four homes where they were trading T-V's for drugs.
Albany Police Detective Nicovian Price said "They were taking the televisions to the people that were selling drugs, pretty much. Because every house that we went to they did have drugs. "
19 year old Tenesha Seay, 31 year old Felicia Hudson, and 31 year old Donald Hosley, and a 16-year old were either arrested with theft by receiving or drug possession. Police recovered a half dozens T-V's.
They say you should record the serial numbers of your expensive electronics to make it easier to get them back if they're stolen.
