With every crack of the.. The Darton Lady Cavalier Softball team is one step closer to avenging a state tournament finals exit that left a..lets just say bitter taste in their mouths.

"They do a real good job of pulling together and playing together and I think that's a strength in out ball club this year."

This will be head coach David Dews 4 go round as Darton's head coach...which is good news he's led team to how about two regular season championships and one state title

"What I saw on this team when I first got here was good leadership out of our coaches. Our coaches really set the table for the rest of our team and the foundation."

"I knew what I was getting myself into and I expect to win and this team expects to win"

One thing seems to be the consensus among all players is just how well the 2011 squad works together

"Chemistry, all of us get together and that's what makes a team"

"We all push each other and hold each other accountable every day to come out here and give it our best and get better every day"

The Lady Cavs will enter the season with 7 sophomores and 11 freshman, coach Dews says the team will be balanced on all phases of game...enough to "catch" their goal.

"Darton here is a real family environment so come out here and bring your kids bring your family out and watch some good softball."

Darton is now scheduled to open the season February 10th against Andrew College.
