ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   A former Dougherty High School art teacher just returned from Egypt.  Flosie Allen told students she was glad she was able to make her dream trip before revolutionary violence broke out.

Allen was in Egypt in mid-January. She showed Dougherty High's advanced art class pictures of her trip, including the Egyptian Art Museum in Cairo where looters struck earlier this week.

"Usually when there is a war or when there are terrorists, that's what they do. They destroy the arts. I think like in Egypt now, they got into the Egyptian museum, and were trying to destroy the arts," Allen said.

Allen said she saw no signs of the impending revolution when she was in Egypt, except for occasional road checks by Police.
