APD Investigations Bureau searches for fugitive

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  John Dame Woody is wanted by the Albany Police Department Investigations Bureau for aggravated assault and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

Woody goes by the nickname "Jay-Woody." His last known address is 108 Bridgeboro Street Albany, Georgia.

ALBANY, GA - The Albany Police Department's Investigations Bureau would like to solicit the public's assistance with locating the following person: John Dame Woody III, age 25 is wanted for Aggravated Assault / Criminal Damage to property 2nd degree.

On October 23, 2010, the victim, Patrick Strawder, age 18, told police that he was assaulted by several unknown males at a home located in1100 block of Eager Street. He stated that the men struck him several times across the forehead with an unknown object.

Strawder was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and treated for lacerations he sustained. He was later released.

Woody is 6'2 in height and weighs approximately 163-pounds.  He has an average to medium build and reddish complexion. His last known address is 108 Bridgeboro Street Albany, Georgia and goes by the nickname: "Jay-Woody".  His last place of employment was with  Tree Services Company in Albany.

    Low-income seniors and disabled adults who receive home-delivered meals in Southwest Georgia aren't being admitted into emergency rooms or nursing homes as often. That's according to the SOWEGA Council on Aging.
