TIFTON, GA (WALB) –  A Tift County family who spent the weekend stuck in Egypt is back home.

They arrived home as unrest turned violent today in Egypt as supporters of President Hosni Mubarak rode into Cairo's Tahrir Square on horses and camels and clashed with anti-government protesters.

Sherri Savelli, her mother, sister, and daughter Carmen arrived in Egypt last week as demonstrations began to pick up.

The Savellis flew to Germany Tuesday and got safely home Wednesday night.
