ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  State investigators looking into possible Criterion Reference Competency Test tampering were in Albany Tuesday examining piles of documents from Dougherty County Schools.

Investigator Richard Hyde began going though boxes and piles of papers the state requested months ago.

Among the information are Parent-Teacher Organization accounts, and student activity accounts from most of the elementary schools listed as having excessive erasures on standardized tests.

With the investigation into the Atlanta Public School System nearly complete, state officials are now focusing on Dougherty County.

Eventually investigators will set up interviews with teachers.
