FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) –A Ben Hill County man was found guilty Thursday of brutally beating a two year old boy in November 2009.

The jury deliberated two hours before convicting 23-year old Noah Larkin of aggravated assault and cruelty to a child.

He was acquitted of two other charges.

Investigators say Larkin beat his girlfriend's 2-year old son Cedric Taylor, Junior.

The toddler suffered serious head injuries and a partially collapsed lung and is still undergoing rehab.

Larkin will be sentenced at a later date.
