LEESBURG, GA (WALB) – Expectant mothers in Lee and surrounding counties have a new resource to carry through with their pregnancy.

The Pregnancy Resource Center of Lee County cut the ribbon to the facility Saturday.

Their focus is reaching out to mothers and fathers to be in hopes of preventing abortions. Board members hope mothers will choose life knowing help is there.

"I was 15 but you can be 30 and have an unplanned pregnancy and not know what you're going to do. We'll provide resources like clothes, bottles, car seats, whatever they need we'll get it for them," said Beth Payne, Center Board Member.

The center won't turn anyone away, they are also equipped to offer pregnancy tests.

First Baptist Church of Leesburg donated the building for the Pregnancy Center located at 111 Starksville Avenue in downtown Leesburg.

You can contact the center by phone at (229) 255-2085 or at www.prcoflc.org.
