ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It looks like the Berrien County football program may be in for a busier off-season than previously expected. Rebel head coach Ryan Branch has resigned as the team's head football coach.
Berrien County director of personnel Dr.Florence Moffett has confirmed that coach Branch has stepped down and the school is in search of a new coach. She says Branch didn't give a reason for his resignation but the school is moving forward.
Coach Branch was 9-18 in 3 seasons in Nashville, just 1-9 in 2010. The school hopes to hire a new coach by the beginning of spring football, the deadline for applicants is February 3rd.
