Canes rally to earn sixth straight win

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -  After struggling in the first half, Georgia Southwestern played like a team ranked in the top 25 in DII.

The Hurricanes rally from a five point halftime deficit to defeat North Georgia 69-60 at the Storm Dome Wednesday.

GSW (12-3,5-1) was led by Trayce Macon who scored 21 points and Colin Slotter had 20.

The news not so good for the Lady Canes.

North Georgia wins the women's game 74-60.

Jessica Bivins led the GSW women with 17 points.

The Lady Canes are 8-7 and 2-4 in the Peach Belt.

Georgia Southwestern is on the road Saturday at Columbus State.
