DNR examines remote control guns

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Department of Natural Resources is still investigating internet-controlled shotguns apparently set up to hunt wild hogs in Lee County.

The guns were discovered several months ago on a Georgia Power Company right of way in Lee County.

A utility contractor discovered six loaded shot guns aimed at a food source.

The guns were rigged to be fired through a network of web controlled cameras.

The discovery was reported to the U. S. Office of Homeland Security.

That office determined the rig appeared to be intended for illegal hunting of an area known to be infested with wild hogs.
