ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A 19-year old Worth County girl died from her injuries in a car crash. Marli Davis turned into the path of an SUV in southern Worth County Wednesday night.

Troopers say Davis was headed south on TV Tower Road in a Honda Accord, and as she attempted to turn onto Evergreen Road, she pulled into the path of a Ford Expedition.

The Expedition hit her car on the driver's side. Davis was rushed to a hospital where she spent the night on life support and was pronounced dead this afternoon.

Davis Carter, who lives nearby, was the first on the scene of the crash.

Marli Davis' boyfriend, 22-year-old Zackery Blake Walden was in the car with her and was hurt, but troopers say his injuries are not life threatening.

Friends say they were on the way to church when the wreck happened.

Troopers say the driver of the Expedition, 46-year old Jeffrey Alan Campbell was not seriously injured.
